Join us October 12, 2024 from 8:45am-12pm as we add plantings and beautify Legacy Park’s wetlands. We’ll plant native vegetation along the wetland area, stabilize the stream bank, provide food for wildlife, and provide a calm and aesthetically welcoming environment for the community to learn about the importance of wetland areas.
Wear clothes appropriate to getting dirty and bring gloves and digging tools to augment what Legacy Decatur will also be providing. Water will be provided but please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Lunch will be served as we wrap up at noon.
All types of ecosystems are important but wetlands are particularly vital for stormwater management, pollution filtration, and wildlife habitat. Please join us in this very important work.
