ENJOY LEGACY PARK

The new track and field facility at Legacy Park is a true, state of the art facility, including a competition-level track, synthetic turf athletic field, lighting, improvements to the existing gym, ADA-compliant access, a field house, public restrooms, and stormwater management. The field has been marked for soccer, lacrosse, football, and ultimate Frisbee. Areas for pole-vaulting, long jump, steeplechase, shot put and discus are also included.

This beautiful, 8-lane facility is a collaborative effort between the City of Decatur and the Decatur Board of Education, who split the $7 million price tag. It’s been designed and constructed to serve both student athletes and the general public equally.

Rules
> No dogs
> No bikes, scooters, skateboards, or rollerblades
> No food, drinks, or glass containers
> No private business on the premises without approval
> Only service animals allowed

Hours
The Legacy Park track and field is now open for community use (subject to approved events):

> Monday-Friday: 7:00am-3:30pm and 6:30pm to 30 minutes after sunset.
> Saturday and Sunday: 7:00am to 30 minutes after sunset.

Conflicts can occur with school activities, private functions, etc. so always check specific availability before heading out.
