Our forests and fields are the soul of Legacy Park but they contain a variety of non-native and invasive species — like kudzu, English ivy, Bradford pear, and wisteria — that threaten their health. These plants can dominate the forest and outcompete the species that create a native forest canopy and a sustainable home for wildlife.
But thanks to the good folks of Trees Atlanta and the volunteers who come out to help them, the threat is being systematically eliminated.
Do you share in their commitment? Then make plans now to join them Saturday, August 13 from 9-noon and/or the second Saturday of every month thereafter. See you there.
