Legacy Park NEws

Join Us for Legacy Community Day and Decatur Earth Day Festival

Whether you’re a visitor, donor, or both, we deeply appreciate your support of Decatur’s Legacy Park and hope you’ll join us between 10am and 2pm, Saturday, April 26 for Legacy Community Day.

What’s Happening?

Legacy Community Day is our opportunity to showcase the park and the many community-serving nonprofit organizations that make their home here. We’re working a green theme this year, so expect to find a host of kindred spirits to guide you on your path to fresher foods and greener living.

Rounding out the event will be the Decatur Earth Day Festival and a community plant sale hosted by Trellis Horticultural Therapy Alliance. Add to that delicious food, lively music, vendors galore, and a host of activities, and you’re well on your way to a good time.

Getting Here

Visitors are encouraged to walk, roll (we’ve even got a bike valet in Cochran Hall behind the main Administrative building), or take transit.

If you must drive, be advised that on-site parking is reserved for our guests with disabilities. Standard parking is off-site, and we’ve got multiple parking options in close proximity. We’re even serving those parking at Talley Street Upper Elementary or Decatur Public Works with a 6-seater electric shuttle that’ll deliver you right to our front door. See this map for details:

Activities!

Maximize your fun! We encourage everyone to visit the table of each organization with a scheduled activity. They can provide info and answer questions, and also help direct you to what they’ve got going on.

Every table at Community Day has something to offer. Make the most of your day by visiting them all.
