DESCRIPTION:The Frank Hamilton School is a place where people of all ages can come together to share\, learn\, and celebrate music. Based on the idea that music is a natural birthright shared by everyone\, the school strives to make learning accessible and enjoyable\, bringing students and teachers together in a caring and supportive musical community to be shared by all. \nSo come on over Saturday\, August 19 from 3-5pm for a one-off Gospel Bluegrass Jam highlighting the gospel tradition in this uniquely American art form. There’ll be a ton of songs and\, most importantly\, fun for all!

DESCRIPTION:The City of Decatur and City Schools of Decatur welcome all interested community members  to their concluding open house on Tuesday\, June 13\, to review how plans for Legacy Park’s track and field facility are shaping up.  The open house will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm in Hawkins Dining Hall at the rear of the Legacy Park Administration Building\, 500 South Columbia Drive. \nBreedlove Land Planning of Atlanta is leading the planning and design effort for the track and field. The new track and field was identified as a community priority in the 2018 Legacy Park master plan.

DESCRIPTION:On the last Saturday of each month\, an artist with Legacy Park’s nonprofit tenant Paint Love leads a family-friendly art project. \nThese events are free of charge\, though advance registration is required. All ages are welcome\, but different programs may be more suitable for different age ranges.  \nApril’s activity features Mandy Noa teaching Art as Advocacy. Learn about the history of the arts in social justice movements and create a “mini-mural\,” or painted yard sign for an issue important to your family.
