DESCRIPTION:It’s fun to walk the trails with our dogs at Legacy Park. Individuals and families of all ages use them but they can be narrow. To make the experience safer and more fun for everyone\, this session offers tips on how to work with your dog to walk on or off leash. Tips include: \n\nLearn how to read dog behavior and respond—puppy rambunctious\, unsocialized and anxious\, older dog who wants to be left alone\, or the hound who just wants to use their nose\nTeach your children safe ways to greet a dog\nUnderstand trail etiquette of being proactive and moving off trail to let people or other dogs walk by\nPractice and learn cues—Sit/Watch/Stay\, By My Side\, Heel\, Check-In—to help in navigating the trails\nQuestions and answers\n\nBrought to you by Terri’s Training for Dogs and People.
